This is journalism editing copywriting me
Business reporter
My first writing role was for The Prague Post, an English language newspaper set up after the fall of communism in the Czech Republic. Full of oddballs and misfits, the paper straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. I nabbed a front page (on the left), which now sits proudly on my livingroom wall.
Magazine journalist
After the newspaper closed, I moved to London to begin a stint at family business publication Campden FB. Aimed at the ultra-high net worth wealth segment—meaning millionaires and billionaires in at least the second generation—each issue contains exclusive family interviews, dedicated sections on finance, governance, the next generation, timely special reports, commentary and debate, news analysis, and lifestyle features.
CampdenFB is delivered to 10,000 qualified families
Content marketer
To test my hand against other sectors, I joined a content marketing agency. Our team won an award for KPMG, for a coffee-table book entitled 30 Voices for 2030, which won Best Financial Services Campaign.
I also became an expert in startups, producing content for Barclays Eagle Labs, mostly explainers, news, interviews and video.
Creative writer
These days I’ve been trying my hand at creative copy for an advertising agency. Ads, slogans, tone-of-voice guides, articles, videos, with lots of great clients, from Gatwick to LSE (London School of Economics), Queen Mary, Malta and beyond.
